Subject: Announcement – Notice of Outstanding Fees and Expiration of Provisional Approvals
This announcement applies to all Marijuana Establishments, Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (collectively, “Licensees”), and Applicants. In matters of noncompliance with the regulations, the Cannabis Control Commission (“Commission”) takes necessary steps to bring Licensees back into compliance, including but not limited to notice to the Licensee or Applicant. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to comply with the Commission’s regulations, including but not limited to the payment of fees.
The Commission is aware of Licensees with outstanding fees owed to the Commission following the receipt of an administrative extension up to 120 days. See pages 121-122 of the August 11, 2022 public meeting materials packet. Any Licensee that received an administrative extension between August 11, 2022, through May 22, 2024, and has not paid a prorated fee will receive a Notice of Outstanding Fees with instructions on how to make such payments. Please note, any prorated fees pertaining to administrative extensions are separate from annual renewal fees already paid to the Commission.
Any applicant that received a provisional License approval and has not paid the applicable License fee within 90 days will receive a Notice of Expiration of Provisional Approval pursuant to 935 CMR 500.103(1)(e) or 935 CMR 500.103(1)(d).
The Licensing team is available to assist Licensees with questions related to this announcement.
