The Cannabis Control Commission’s Investigations and Enforcement department is responsible for the overall implementation and compliance of the Commonwealth’s cannabis laws and regulations. The department oversees licensing, testing, investigations and compliance, and enforcement.

The Commission may issue an order to a Licensee, Registrant, or Host Community that assesses a fine or other financial penalty of up to $50,000 per violation.

Enforcement
The Enforcement team oversees compliance with the Commonwealth’s cannabis laws and administers enforcement actions in response to regulatory noncompliance. For inquiries on waivers, administrative actions by the Commission and suitability contact Enforcement@CCCMass.com.
Investigations and Compliance
The Investigations and Compliance team performs inspections and conducts investigations to assess and ensure continuous compliance with the Commonwealth’s cannabis laws and regulations and makes recommendations for potential enforcement action. For complaints alleging Licensee/Host Community noncompliance, or inquiries related to inspections or compliance, contact Inspections@CCCMass.com.
Testing
The Testing team oversees Independent Testing Laboratories (ITLs), ensuring that they meet regulatory safety standards for testing cannabis products. For inquiries on ITL oversight and compliance monitoring, complaints related to product testing, Metrc support tickets, and testing protocols and exhibits contact Testing@CCCMass.com.
