Mass Live | Cannabis ‘dos and don’ts’ this holiday season (Commentary)
By Kimberly Roy
It’s the holiday season, which means many adults may celebrate by enjoying a cannabis pre-roll, marijuana infused product, or edible. If the $7.5 million in marijuana products sold on “Green Wednesday” before Thanksgiving is any indication, marijuana is increasingly on Massachusetts shoppers’ lists for options to relax and unwind if they are 21 years old or older.
If your holiday spirit also includes partaking, the Cannabis Control Commission wants to make sure you are doing so safely. As the agency’s public health appointee, I especially want to remind folks it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle under the influence of cannabis — and most importantly, it is dangerous to do so.
