MDAR Pesticide Control Act Webinars | April 13, 2023

On March 7 and March 8, 2023,  the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR), in collaboration with the Cannabis Control Commission, hosted two webinars to help cultivators understand the changes to the Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act (M.G.L.c. 132B) and regulations that MDAR enacted in December 2022.

The “Pesticides Basics 101” webinar provided an overview of pesticide laws and regulations and covered specific requirements for marijuana growers. Review the materials:

The “Worker Protection Standard” webinar covered how to protect employees who apply pesticides to plants and work in areas that are treated with pesticides. Review the materials:
