Commission to Hold Second Virtual Public Hearing; Comments Limited to Delivery Licenses
To extend the opportunity for constituents to participate in the Cannabis Control Commission (Commission)’s regulatory drafting process, the agency will host a second virtual public hearing on Friday, November 13, 2020 focused on feedback pertaining to the Marijuana Courier and Marijuana Delivery Operator Licenses that are now proposed in 935 CMR 500.000: Adult Use of Marijuana. Accordingly, all other public meetings pertaining to changes and/or votes on the final adult and medical use of marijuana regulations will be postponed. The previously scheduled policy meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, November 30, 2020.
Complete the request form in the link below if you are interested in participating in the November 13 public hearing. The deadline to submit a request to speak is Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 5 p.m. Speaking opportunities will be available to the first 90 submissions received, and remaining speakers will be placed on a waiting list due to time constraints. All constituents will have three minutes to deliver their comments. Further instructions for participants will be provided in the coming days.
The November 13 public hearing follows a robust 2020 regulatory schedule which included multiple public policy meetings, two public comment periods on changes to the full slate of medical- and adult-use regulatory changes and delivery policies specifically, an initial virtual public hearing, and a joint meeting held between the Commission and the Cannabis Advisory Board.
