DESCRIPTION: \nMarch 2, 2024\n12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.\nLocation:\nThe Vault Function Hall\n238 Essex Street\nLawrence, MA 01840\n\n\nThe Commission’s Equity Programming and Community Outreach (EPCO) team will host the first of six Application Clinics to support prospective applicants interested in applying for SEP. The program offers free, statewide technical assistance and training that creates sustainable pathways into the regulated cannabis industry for individuals most impacted by the War on Drugs.\nCommission staff will provide applicants with resources to assist their submission of application materials to the SEP and provide additional information about the program. To learn more about the application process, please visit masscannabiscontrol.com/equity.\nSpecifically, participants will receive support in the following areas:\n\nCreating an account through the online Massachusetts Cannabis Industry Portal (MassCIP), thereby enabling participants to walk away with a fully set-up MassCIP account;\nUnderstanding eligibility criteria for acceptance into the SEP;\nLearning about required and accepted documentation;\nClarifying benefits offered to participants accepted into the SEP; and\nAnswers to frequently asked questions.\n\nThe following resources also will be available:\n\nTechnical assistance and training information, including SEP curriculum course sheets and course descriptions;\nMassCultivatED expungement resources;\nMassachusetts Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) resources on the Cannabis Social Equity Trust Fund; and\nLawrence City Officials and staff to share the municipal perspective of the local licensing process.\n\nAs stated, this is part of a series of six Application Clinics throughout the state. These are informal events which can be tailored to your specific needs including your availability, learning style, location and where you are in your SEP application submission. Each Application Clinic will be similar and offer the same resources and materials.
